  1.     Welcome to PC-TimeClock version 2.1 for
  2. Windows 95 and NT!  If you are running
  3. Windows 3.x, you want PC-TimeClock ver. 1.4,
  4. which can be obtained from our web site:

  10.     If you already use PC-TimeClock version
  11. 1.4 or earlier, and you want to evaluate
  12. this new version, we suggest that you
  13. install it in a temporary directory and copy
  14. your log file into this directory.  This is
  15. because PC-TimeClock versions 2.0 and later
  16. write log file entries in a different format
  17. that older versions of PC-TimeClock Reporter
  18. do not understand.  By making a copy of your
  19. log file, you can play with the new version
  20. without affecting your real data.

  24.     To install the Shareware edition of
  25. PC-TimeClock on your system:
  26.  
  27. 1) Click the Start button on the taskbar.
  28.  
  29. 2) Move the mouse pointer to Settings, and click
  30.    Control Panel.
  31.    
  32. 3) Double click the Add/Remove Programs entry,
  33.    and then click the Install button.
  34.    
  35. 4) Click the Next button until you get to the Run
  36.    Installation Program screen.
  37.    
  38. 5) Use the Browse button to locate setup.exe that
  39.    you got when you unpacked the zip file.
  40.    
  41. 6) Click the Next button, and then follow the
  42.    instructions that appear.
  43.    
  44.        Be sure that you don't have an earlier
  45. version of PC-TimeClock or PC-TimeClock Reporter
  46. running while you install this new version.  If
  47. they are, you will get an error message; in that
  48. case, exit the program(s) and restart the
  49. installation.

  51.     If you encounter problems during the
  52. installation, there may be a conflict between
  53. the installer and some other program running on
  54. your system.  Try booting your system in safe
  55. mode.  For Windows 95 users, this is done by
  56. pressing the F8 key when the screen says
  57. Starting Windows 95... and then selecting
  58. "Safe mode" from the menu that appears.  After
  59. the installation, reboot your computer normally.
